David Bromley (born 1960) is one of Australia's most prolific and recognisable contemporary artists, celebrated for his whimsical and nostalgic style. Originally a self-taught potter, he shifted his focus to painting and sculpture in the mid-1980s, eventually becoming a household name and a six-time finalist for the prestigious Archibald Prize.

Bromley's work is often instantly recognisable due to its bold, graphic lines and vibrant use of colour, frequently incorporating gold and silver leaf.

This piece is part of the Female Nude Series: These paintings often feature fashion models or celebrities in commanding, stylized poses, blending contemporary fashion aesthetics with a Pop Art influence reminiscent of Andy Warhol.
