HFST Tangeri Sofa by Francesco Binfaré for Edra through Space

Francesco Binfaré’s HFST is made up of two units that combine to create different compositions. A metaphor of couples getting together and drawing apart, HFST uses a patented system which allows movement of the backs and seats for extensive use and comfort potential, from traditional seating to the most different relaxing positions. The backs, with pivoting support in chromed steel, rotate to extend or close, delineating various types of seating, from straight to L-shaped, from chaise lounge to extra bed and “face to face”. The freedom of movement allows the backs to recline at various angles to obtain different depths and a number of seating configurations. Mechanical locking system secures the back to the seat.
