With Auckland, Jean Marie Massaud revisits the classic lounge chair in a modern key, reconfirming the original, comfortable aesthetic of this timeless model. The swivel armchair available in shades of black stands out for its shell-shaped seat, deliberately exposed to resemble armour and thus evoke the Kendo tradition. The case protects the upholstered elements by adapting to the pedestal's base, defined by a cantilevered blade with four supporting spokes. This eccentric and unusual combination gives the base a barely perceptible yet extremely pleasant oscillating motion. The chair we have on offer is in tan leather with a black shell and base.
