How much will I receive when my furniture sells?
Your contract amount is the net you receive when the item sells. It is typically 33% of the original purchase price, and can vary with condition, age and desirability. We agree this with you before anything is listed.
How quickly will I hear back?
You will usually be advised by the next day whether your item is saleable by HFOC.
Do you need to see the item in person?
We are based in Sydney and make regular trips to Melbourne and Brisbane, scheduled based on demand. Depending on your location, we schedule a visit to view the item, take photos and discuss price. Otherwise, we organise photos and measurements from you.
How long is the consignment contract?
Contracts are valid for 45 days. If the item is unsold at 21 days, a 20% reduction is applied to the selling price and the contract amount. Further reductions are by mutual agreement.
Who arranges transport and storage?
If required, we arrange transport and storage through professional furniture carriers. These services are paid by the consignor.
When do I get paid?
Within 30 days of the sale. This allows time to process the sale and for the item to be delivered and signed off by the buyer.
What brands do you accept?
We specialise in authentic designer furniture from brands such as B&B Italia, Cassina, Herman Miller, Jardan, Maxalto, Poliform and Walter Knoll. Send us details of any quality designer piece and we will let you know.
