A re-release of an iconic model from 1952, from the series “Black Shapes”, this Serge Mouille 3-arm Floor Lamp features brass ball joints. Designed with three feet and three reflectors in black lacquered aluminium with a white interior, it is made from steel arms which are painted black.
Recognised as one of the greatest light fixture designers of the 20th century, Serge Mouille found fame in the 1950’s with his famous series of “Black Shapes”. Timeless classics of modern design, Serge Mouille light fixtures demonstrate the virtuosity of a master goldsmith who had the idea of creating mobile organic shapes with black steel, which became instantly recognisable.
Now, Serge Mouille’s iconic lamps, wall lights and floor lamps from the 1950s are re-released in France by Editions Serge Mouille with the greatest respect for his original craftsmanship. Using moulds from the original era, materials, proportions and techniques have been conserved.
